ARELLANO UNIVERSITY
SCHOOL OF LAW

From : AUSL MEDICAL CLINIC
To : ALL CONCERNED
Date : November 5, 2022
Subject : WEARING OF MASKS DURING THE ONSITE MID-TERM EXAMINATION

To All Concerned,

COVID-19 continues to be a threat, especially to those who are unvaccinated and with co-morbidities. Though fewer cases of COVID 19 have been reported and the disease may often be mild, rare and serious complications do occur even with initially mild infections. A well-fitting mask reduces the chance of contracting COVID-19 and its possible consequences, and likewise helps prevent spreading the infection to others.

It is therefore recommended that wearing of facemasks in indoor school facilities must be continued to decrease the risk of SARS COV transmission.

Caution dictates that need for universal indoor masking (unless contraindicated) by all students, staff, professors, and visitors of the university, regardless of vaccination status. Schools should provide safe and supportive learning environment for students. In light of the circulating SARS COV 2 variants of concern, layered prevention strategies in the form of universal masking, optimized ventilation, physical distancing to prevent crowding as well as hygiene and other measures to prevent transmission risks, will continue to be essential to prevent transmission in our university setting.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we all work together to overcome this pandemic and look forward to resuming our normal daily lives.

Sincerely,

Atty. Judy Anne Yuki Yulo, MD
